Our Story

I decided to start The Wildflour Bread Company after falling in love with making sourdough bread in early fall of 2025. I have always jumped hobby to hobby and I got bitten by the sourdough bug and haven’t really looked back. I really enjoy the whole process and love to experiment with new flavors. I recently started making discard baked goods as well.

I really find baking very therapeutic and forces me to slow down a little bit. You really can’t rush a loaf of sourdough.

At the wildflour bread company we specialize in loaves of sourdough bread, but we also make other baked good with sourdough starter and/or discard.

I also want to help educate others in sourdough baking because I enjoy it so much and I really do think anyone can do it. We offer dehydrated sourdough starter on our website which is a great way to start since it is dehydrated and will last forever until ready to use. Then it takes about 3 days until you can bake, which is very quick when compared to starting a starter from the very beginning.
